How each job is checked

01

Sponsor licence

The employer’s legal entity is looked up on the Home Office register. A similar name is shown as a suggestion until the legal entity is confirmed.

02

Occupation code

The code the job is likely to be sponsored under, and whether it is open. An inferred code stays marked inferred until the employer confirms it.

03

Salary threshold

The advertised pay against £41,700 or the going rate for the code, and against the new-entrant rate for recent graduates.

Salary rates

Which salary rate applies to you

£41,700

Standard rate

£33,400

New-entrant rate

70% of the going rate, at least £33,400, if you are under 26, or on a Student or Graduate visa now or within the last two years.

Questions

What is JLocate?

A job board for UK tech jobs that can sponsor a Skilled Worker visa. Each job is checked before it is posted: the employer’s sponsor licence, an eligible occupation code, and the salary against £41,700 or the going rate for the code, whichever is higher. Add your details and the salary is checked at the rate that applies to you.

Who is it for?

People who studied in the UK and want to work there: final-year students, Graduate visa holders, and graduates who went home and want to come back while their two-year new-entrant window is open. Students finishing in 2026 should read about the Graduate route falling to 18 months. It also covers simplified routes for the Netherlands, Germany, Ireland, the United States, Canada, Australia and Singapore.

Is JLocate a job board?

Yes. Every job on the board is taken from the employer’s own listing, with the employer looked up on a copy of the Home Office register, the one the sponsor register search uses, and the salary read against the threshold. You apply on the employer’s site, and a job leaves the board after its closing date. With Pro you can also paste a job you found elsewhere and check it privately.

Where do the thresholds come from?

From GOV.UK: the £41,700 general threshold, the new-entrant rate of 70% of the going rate with a £33,400 floor, and the going-rates table updated on 22 July 2025. Every eligible occupation code and its rate is listed as the Immigration Rules print it, and the Sources page links each figure to its page with the date it was checked.

What happens to my data?

Without an account, nothing leaves your browser. With a free account, your details and saved jobs, and with Pro your private checks, are kept on JLocate’s own server so they follow you between devices, and you can download or delete them at any time. The privacy page says exactly what is stored where.

Is this legal advice?

No. It helps you decide which applications are worth your time. Before you rely on a result for your own case, check it with an adviser regulated by the Immigration Advice Authority, or with a solicitor.
